Fuel Injector - Installation

1. Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the upper O-ring.

2. Install the injector into the cup on the fuel rail.

3. Install the retaining clip.





4. Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the O-ring on the nozzle end of each injector.

5. Insert the fuel injector nozzles into openings in the lower intake manifold. Seat the injectors in place.





6. Tighten the fuel rail mounting screws to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).





7. Install the wiring harness clips to the fuel rail mounting studs.





8. Connect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors.





9. Connect the fuel supply tube to the fuel rail.

10. Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.).

11. Use the scan tool to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks.
