Knock Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer Engine Mechanical.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector at the knock sensor.




4. Remove the knock sensor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the knock sensor.
Tighten
Tighten the knock sensor bolt to 15 lb.ft (20 N.m).




2. Connect the electrical connector at the knock sensor.
3. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Engine Mechanical.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
