Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the MAP sensor bolt.




3. Remove the MAP sensor up and away from the intake manifold recess.
4. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector.

Installation Procedure




1. Connect the MAP sensor connector to the MAP sensor.
2. Install the MAP sensor into the intake manifold.




3. Install the MAP sensor retaining bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the manifold absolute pressure sensor retaining bolt to 89 lb-in (10 N.m).

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
