When testing, the use of ECU test harness No. 09842-87704-000 or check connector test harness No. 09991-87702-0000 may be required to complete test. Figs. 40 and 41. Install the ECU test harness as follows:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove glove compartment subassembly.
3. Connect ECU test harness tool No. 09842-87704-000, Fig. 40, between the ECU and the engine wire harness.
4. Reconnect battery ground cable and perform test as shown.
5. When test is complete, disconnect battery ground cable before removing ECU test harness.
