Ignition Switch: Service and Repair


1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel, refer to STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT R & R PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL.
3. Models less automatic seat belts, remove instrument lower finish panel and steering column lower cover.
4. Models with automatic seat belts, remove knee bolster and steering column lower cover.
5. Disconnect coupler from ignition switch, then remove ignition switch from switch/lock bracket.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
