1. Disconnect the connector, then using a suitable volt/ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals 1 and 3 and terminals 2 and 3, Fig. 19. Resistance should read 68 ohms and 38 ohms respectively.
2. Connect Mighty Vac or suitable vacuum device to actuator.
3. Connect positive battery lead from battery to terminal 1 and 2, Fig. 20.
4. Connect negative battery lead to terminal 3.
5. Slowly apply vacuum from 0-11.81 inch Hg and ensure throttle valve can be fully opened.
6. Disconnect terminal 1 or 2, and ensure throttle valve returns to idle position and vacuum returns to 0mm Hg smoothly.
7. Inspect vacuum hose for cracks and damage and replace if needed.
