Ignition Timing: Adjustments

All Carburetted
1. Set timing at slow idle and Before Top Dead Center, unless otherwise specified.
2. Distributor or Spark Control Computer vacuum hose disconnected and plugged.
3. Ground carb switch on models 1981-87 with computer.
4. Dakota: Set timing to specified value.
5. All Others: Disconnect coolant temperature sensor before adjusting timing.
