Idle Up Control Valve: Adjustments

Fig. 24 Throttle Opener System 1982 Champ & Colt (Federal) w/1400cc engine & manual transaxle:

1. Start engine and allow to reach normal operating temperature.
2. Ensure that all electrical accessories are "Off," then position transaxle in "Neutral."
3. Set curb idle to specifications, then lift throttle opener fully upward and set engine speed with the throttle opener setting screw, Fig. 24. Set engine speed to 850 ± 50 RPM.
