Air Injection: Testing and Inspection

1. Start and run engine at idle.
2. Disconnect air hose from reed valve.
3. Place hand on reed valve intake port. Suction should be felt. If not, the reed valve is defective, requiring replacement.
4. Also, check to ensure that no exhaust is emitted through the valve intake port. If blow back occurs, replace reed valve.
