Choke Unloader Adjustment
Fig. 4 Choke unloader adjustment:
Fig 12 - Carburetor:
NOTE: The choke unloader is a mechanical device to partially open the choke valve at wide open throttle. It is used to eliminate choke enrichment during engine cranking. Engines that have been flooded or stalled by excessive choke enrichment can be cleared by the use of the unloader. Adjust as follows:
1. Hold throttle valve in wide open position, (1) Fig. 4. Insert the specified drill (2) size between upper edge of choke valve and inner wall of air horn (3).
2. With a finger lightly pressing against choke valve, a slight drag should be felt as the drill is being withdrawn.
3. If an adjustment is necessary, bend unloader tang, (4) Fig. 4, on throttle lever until specified opening has been obtained.
