Lower Compression Ratios

PURPOSE
Compression ratios have been lowered by various modifications in the piston head design and in the quench height. This reduction in compression ratios permits the engine to operate satisfactorily on lower octane fuel, thereby achieving a slight reduction in HC and NOx emission levels.
