Thermal Vacuum Valve: Testing and Inspection
The CCEGR valve can be tested for proper operation by placing it in ice and cooling it to below 40° F. Using
vacuum pump and gauge tool C-4207 or equivalent, apply a vacuum of at least 10 inches of mercury to the valve nipple corresponding to the blue striped hose. If vacuum reading drops off more than 1 inch in one minute, the valve should be replaced.
