Wiper Switch: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect wiper switch and turn signal switch wiring harness connectors.
3. Remove lower column cover, then the horn button.
4. Place ignition switch in "Off" position and turn steering wheel so access hole in hub area is at 9 o'clock position on 1983 - 84 models, and in 3 o'clock position on 1982 models.
5. Loosen turn signal lever screw through access hole using a suitable screwdriver.
6. Disengage dimmer pushrod from wiper switch.
7. Unsnap wiring clip and remove wiper switch.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
