Neutral Safety Switch: Service and Repair

The following procedure applies to automatic transaxle equipped models only. On manual transaxle equipped models, a back-up light switch is mounted on transaxle case.
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect switch wiring connector.
3. Remove switch from transaxle case, allow fluid to drain into a suitable container.
4. Install switch with new seal into transaxle case and connect switch wiring connector. Torque switch to 24 ft. lbs.
