SYMPTOM/CONDITIONCustomer complaint of loss in A/C cooling performance.
DIAGNOSIS
1. Perform "H" Valve Test, as outlined in the appropriate service manual.
2. Discharge system, noting for an acidic odor coming from the system during discharge.
3. Remove "H" valve and inspect the condition of the freon passages, looking for signs of gray sediment build-up caused by system contamination.
If odor or gray sediment build-up is evident, the A/C system should be flushed as follows:
