SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Subject model vehicles may exhibit a condition when ambient temperatures are below 50~F of cold engine crank times in excess of 10 seconds.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair procedure involves the installation of a thermal bowl vent valve.
1. Cut bowl vent line 12" from canister. Cut 2" more off of the remaining line still attached to canister.
2. Cut two lengths of rubber bowl vent hose 1-1/2" long.
3. Attach one 1-1/2" bowl vent hose cut in Step 2 to the thermal bowl vent valve end "curb".
4. Attach second 1-1/2" long hose cut in Step 2 to bowl vent line still attached to canister.
5. Attach rubber hose connected to bowl vent valve in Step 3 to bowl vent line.
6. Attach rubber hose connected to bowl vent line in Step 4 to thermal bowl vent line.
7. Install appropriate Heater Hose Driveability Kit per Technical Service Bulletin No. 18-19-86.

9. Apply Authorized Modification Label near or next to the VECI label.
