Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Description and Operation
The MAP sensor, located in the right side passenger compartment, monitors manifold vacuum. The sensor is connected to a vacuum nipple on the throttle body and electrically to the logic module. This device relays information on manifold vacuum and barometric pressure to the logic module which is used in determining the proper air/fuel mixture.
