7C Checking Fuel Pump Vacuum

1. Connect vacuum gauge to fuel pump inlet line, then disconnect the outlet fuel line from fuel pump.
2. Start engine for ten seconds.
3. If vacuum gauge reads 10 inches of vacuum, then check for plugged fuel lines or fuel tank venting in tank filter.
4. If vacuum gauge indicates no vacuum, replace fuel pump.
