Rich Mixture Screw

Fig. 7 Adjusting rich mixture stop screw:

1. Install external float gauging tool C-4900 or equivalent in vertical ``D'' shaped vent hole in air horn and allow it to float freely, Fig. 7.
2. Read at eye level the mark on the gauge in inches that lines up with top of air horn casting and record reading.
3. Lightly press on gauge and again read and record the mark on the gauge that lines up with the top of the air horn casting.
4. Subtract dimension recorded in step 2 from dimension recorded in step 3 to determine total solenoid plunger travel.
5. Insert tool C-4898 or equivalent into access hole in air horn and adjust rich mixture screw to obtain 1/8 inch total solenoid plunger travel.
6. Remove tool.
