6 Ignition Control System For Fault Codes

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine harness connector, then disconnect and reconnect battery quick disconnect.
2. Crank engine for five seconds, then turn ignition switch Off.
3. Place system in Diagnostic Mode and record all codes.
4. If code sequence is 88-12-55, no faults are present. Proceed to Test 7.
5. If code sequence is 88-12-43-55, spark control circuit fault is present. Proceed to Test 8.
