1987-88 Colt, Ram Raider & Ram 50
1. Start and idle engine until engine coolant reaches normal operating temperature, then ensure all lights and accessories are in Off position.
2. Place transmission or transaxle selector lever in Neutral.
3. Apply parking brake, then on models with power steering, set wheels in straight ahead position.
4. Install a suitable tachometer on engine according to manufacturers' instructions, then start and idle engine.
5. Adjust curb idle speed to specifications, if necessary, then check and adjust ignition timing as necessary.
6. Turn a/c switch On, then adjust engine idle RPM using the throttle opener setting screw to specifications shown, Fig. 8.
