Power Window Motor: Service and Repair

NOTE: The following procedure describes replacement of a defective motor without removing the the cable assembly from the vehicle.

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear quarter trim panel inside the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the vent motor electrical connector.
3. Remove the three (3) screws attaching the power vent motor to the cable.
4. Remove the two (2) bolts attaching the power vent motor bracket to the quarter panel.
5. Remove power vent motor from the vehicle.



INSTALLATION
1. Position power vent motor to cable assembly making sure cable pulley engages with motor. Install the three (3) mounting screws that attach the cable assembly to the power vent motor.
2. Install the two (2) motor bracket to quarter panel bolts.
3. Connect the power vent motor electrical connector to the body wiring harness.
4. Install rear quarter trim panel.
