Distributor: Description and Operation
Distributor Assembly:
The
distributor houses the photo optic sensing unit which monitors slots in a
distributor shaft mounted disk to detect crankshaft speed and position. The distributor also distributes high voltage secondary output through the rotor and
distributor cap and spark plug wires to the
spark plugs.
