Hall Effect Sensor: Service and Repair

Hall Effect Pick-Up Removal And Installation:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect Hall effect pick-up leads at wire harness connector. Remove distributor cap and rotor.
2. Remove both Hall effect pick-up attaching screws on opposite sides of the distributor housing and carefully lift the Hall effect pick-up assembly from the distributor housing.

INSTALLATION

1. Place the Hall effect pick-up assembly into the distributor housing and align with housing.
2. Attach both mounting screws and tighten.
3. Install distributor rotor and cap. Connect Hall effect pick-up leads at wire harness connector.
4. Set timing, refer to ADJUSTMENTS PROCEDURES.
