Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

The CPS is bolted to the top of cylinder block near the rear of right cylinder head.

REMOVAL

1. Unplug CPS wiring harness connector.

2. Remove two mounting bolts.

3. Remove CPS from engine.

INSTALLATION

1. Position CPS to engine and install mounting bolts.

2. Tighten two CPS mounting bolts to 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.) torque.

3. Connect CPS wiring harness to main wiring harness.
