Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

AIR BAG CONTROL (ACM), REPLACE
1. Disarm air bag as outlined under Air Bag System Disarming and Arming.

Service and Repair

2. Remove knee blocker panel.
3. On models with column shift lever, place lever in 1 position, then remove indicator cable.
4. On all models, remove steering column support bracket nuts, both cowl kick panels, both A-pillar trim panels and upper instrument panel screws.
5. Loosen lower instrument panel screws and roll panel rearward, then unplug ACM connectors.
6. Remove ACM mounting screws, then ACM.
7. Reverse procedure to install and tighten nuts to specifications.
