Brake Rotor/Disc: Service Precautions

When machining brake discs it is essential to use precision equipment designed for this purpose to insure proper brake operation.

Friction surfaces must have a non-directional, micro-inch finish to prevent brake roughness, avoid pulls and erratic performance and promote long lining life and equal lining wear of both left and right brakes.

Do not attempt to refinish brake rubbing surfaces unless equipment, capable of measuring in micro-inches is available.
