Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Testing and Inspection

1. Disconnect six-way connector from stop lamp switch.
2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity at switch side of connector as follows with the brake pedal released:
a. Continuity should exist between pins 1 and 4.
b. Continuity should exist between pins 3 and 6.
c. Continuity should not exist between pins 2 and 5.
3. Check continuity at switch side of connector as follows with brake pedal depressed:
a. Continuity should not exist between pins 1 and 4.
b. Continuity should not exist between pins 3 and 6.
c. Continuity should exist between pins 2 and 5.
4. If above results are not as specified, adjust or replace stop lamp switch as needed.
