Adjustment

CASTER

Caster and camber are adjusted together by adding or removing shims from between the upper control arm shaft and crossmember.
1. Check alignment angles following equipment manufacturer's instructions.
2. If caster and/or camber are not within specifications, loosen nuts securing upper control arm shaft to crossmember.
3. Increase or decrease thickness of shims between control arm shaft and crossmember, noting the following:
a. Refer to chart, to select proper shims.
b. Do not use more than 4 shims at one location.
c. Difference in shim thickness between front and rear bolts must not exceed 0.16 inch (4 mm).

CAMBER

Refer to CASTER adjustment for procedure.

TOE-IN

The amount of toe-in of the left front wheel is reduced by turning the tie rod turnbuckle toward the front of the car and the amount of toe-in on the right front wheel is reduced by turning it toward the rear of the the car. After adjustment, the difference in length between the two tie rods should not exceed 0.2 inch (5 mm).
