Throttle Body Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Body (Side View):

REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner and disconnect throttle cables from throttle body.
2. Remove throttle cable bracket screws (2) and lay bracket aside.
3. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector, by pulling downward.
4. Unscrew sensor from throttle body.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply heat transfer compound (supplied with sensor), to tip of new sensor.
2. Install sensor and torque to 9-13.5 Nm (80-120 in-lbs).
3. Connect sensor electrical connector.
4. Install throttle cable bracket, throttle cables, and air cleaner.
