Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Regulator Removal/Installation:

REGULATOR REMOVAL
1. Remove the door trim panel (or, if applicable, the access panel), the waterdam, and the noise insulator.
2. Remove window glass.
3. After the glass is removed from the door, remove the retaining blind rivets with a drill and remove the lift channel from the glass.
4. If necessary remove the retaining screws and remove the glass rear channel/track from the door.
5. Remove the window glass regulator retaining screws.
6. Remove the window glass regulator from the door.

INSTALLATION
1. If removed, position the glass rear channel/track in the door and install the retaining screws. Tighten the screws securely
2. Install the lift channel and gaskets on the window glass with 1/4-20 x 1/2" bolts and nuts. Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (90 in. lbs.) torque.
3. Install replacement edge sliders on the window glass rear edge.
4. Position the window glass regulator in the door and install the retaining screws. Tighten the screws securely
5. Install the window glass in the door.
6. Install the door trim panel (or, if applicable, the access panel), the waterdam, and the noise insulator.
