Speed Control Power Relay Circuit

WHEN MONITORED
Ignition ON
Speed Control Switch ON
Transmission not in PARK or Neutral

SET CONDITION
When the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), attempts to actuate the speed control relay and the relay does not respond.

THEORY OF OPERATION
The speed control relay actuates the main power feed for operation of the speed control servo.

PROBABLE CAUSES
- Relay coil open or shorted
- Open or short in the relay control circuit
- Fused ignition switch output circuit open
- PCM failure
