EGR Backpressure Transducer: Service and Repair

EGR System Vacuum Connections:






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect transducer electrical connector and vacuum hoses.
2. Remove EGR valve mounting bolts.
3. Clean gasket surfaces and discard old gaskets.
4. Inspect for signs of leakage or cracks.

INSTALLATION
1. Loosely install EGR tube on valve with new gasket.
2. Install EGR valve on intake manifold, with new gasket and tighten bolts to 200 in lb (22 Nm).
3. Connect vacuum hoses and electrical connector.
