Coolant Temperature Sensor

1. Remove engine coolant temperature sensor from intake manifold.
2. With sensing end immersed in hot water resistance should be as follows:
a. 5800 ohms @ 32°F.
b. 2400 ohms @ 68°F.
c. 1100 ohms @ 104°F.
d. 300 ohms @ 176°F.
3. If resistance is not as indicated, replace sensor.
