Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Ignition Lock & Ignition Switch:





1. Disable airbag, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.
2. Remove instrument panel lower knee protector attaching screws.
3. Remove ignition switch as shown, noting the following:
a. Remove steering column cover upper to lower attaching screws, then carefully unsnap upper steering column cover from lower.
4. Reverse procedure to install, enabling airbag, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
