Rear Heater Core

REMOVE AND INSTALL
1. Drain the engine coolant system. Refer to: "Engine, Cooling and Exhaust : Cooling System : Service and Repair" Service and Repair

Rear Heater Plumbing:

2. Disconnect heater tubing from the underbody heater lines to the rear unit.
3. Remove the lower left quarter trim panel. Refer to: "Body and Frame : Interior Trim : Trim Panel : Service and Repair" Service and Repair
4. Remove fan A/C distribution duct.
5. Remove heater-unit cover.
6. Carefully pull the heater core and heater tubes straight out of the unit.
7. Raise the heater core to drain residual coolant from the core.
8. Disconnect two heater hose clamps that attach plumbing to the heater core tube.
9. To install, reverse the preceding operation.
