NTC-1A No Trouble Code Menu - Start Here
NOTE: You should have reached this test only after performing TEST TC-1A, TC-9A or TC-10A. If not then perform TEST TC-1A before proceeding. TC-1A CODE TO TC TEST CHART (Checking For Trouble Codes)1. Check for Technical Service Bulletins and manual updates that are related to the symptoms.
NO TROUBLE CODE INDIVIDUAL TEST
- If you suspect any of the items in the menu below to be the cause of the driveability problem, perform the associated test(s) individually.
- If problem still exists, perform NO TROUBLE CODE COMPLETE TEST, in sequence, until the problem is located.

2. If there are no obvious suspects, perform TESTS NTC-2A through NTC-15A, in sequence, until the problem is located.

Hard Start NTC - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 9A, 12A, 15A 16A
Start and Stall NTC - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 9A, 12A, 16A
Hesitation/Sag/Stumble NO TROUBLE CODE COMPLETE TEST above.
Surge NTC - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 9A, 12A, 13A, 16A
Lack of Power/Sluggish NTC - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 9A, 12A, 14A, 16A
Spark Knock/Detonation NTC - 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, 9A, 10A, 12A, 13A, 16A
Cuts Out/Misses NTC - 2A, 3A, 7A, 10A, 12A, 14A, 16A
Backfire/Popback NTC - 2A, 3A, 6A, 7A, 12A, 14A, 16A

3. If you suspect any of the above items to be the cause of the driveability problem, perform the associated test(s). Otherwise perform TESTS NTC-2A through NTC-13A, in sequence until the problem is located.
