Error When Reading Airbag Control Module (ACM) Active Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) When Using The DRB III(R) And The 1994 - 1997 Supercard 2 (CH8361).

DISCUSSION:

Several pretensioner circuit active DTCs will be interpreted incorrectly by the DRBIII(R) when using the recently released DRBIII(R) 1994 - 1997 Supercard 2 (CH8316). The following table identifies the incorrectly displayed message by the DRBIII(R) and the actual DTC that should be displayed.

Sometime in June of 1999, a revision is planned for the 1994 - 1997 Supercard 2 (CH8316) in which the above errors will be corrected. In the meantime, use the above table along with the appropriate Passenger Airbag Diagnostic Manual to help identify the root cause of passive restraint problems.
