Barometric Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation
Barometric Pressure Sensor:
PURPOSE The Barometric Pressure Sensor measures atmospheric pressure and converts the measurement into a voltage signal which is sent to the Engine Control Module
(ECM).
The ECM uses the voltage signal to adjust the air-fuel ratio and ignition timing for the altitude at which the vehicle is running, thus improving driveability at high altitude.
