Cruise Control Servo: Testing and Inspection

1. Start engine, then disconnect 4-way electrical connector at servo.
2. Place speed control switch in On position, then inspect for battery voltage at pin No. 3. Battery voltage should be present when brake is released and not present when brake pedal is depressed.
3. If voltage is not as specified, then inspect stop lamp switch adjustment and inspect for continuity between stop lamp switch and servo.
4. Connect a jumper wire between pin No. 3 of connector and pin No. 3 of servo.
5. Inspect for battery voltage at pins 1, 2 and 4 of servo. Battery voltage should be present.
6. If voltage is not as specified, then replace servo.
7. Place ignition switch In Off position, then inspect for continuity between servo harness connector pin No. 4 and ground. Continuity should exist.
8. If continuity is not as specified, then repair open to ground as required.
