System Specifications

The T-56 transmission uses a special type of lubricant called Dexron III. This new fluid can withstand higher temperatures than standard Dexron II, Mercon or Mopar 7176 fluid. The use of standard Dexron 11, Mercon or Mopar 7176 automatic transmission fluid is not recommended.
