SYMPTOM
P1493 - AMBIENT/BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition ON.

SET CONDITION
The PCM senses the voltage from the Ambient/Battery Temperature Sensor to be below 0.5 volt for 3 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Ambient/Battery temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to ground
- Ambient/Battery temperature sensor signal circuit shorted to the sensor ground circuit
- Ambient/Battery temperature sensor
- PCM
- Wiring harness intermittent problem
