Subject

The front brake hoses and/or ABS wheel speed sensor wires on about 2,000 of the above vehicles may contact the front wheel or tire Prolonged brake hose contact could wear a hole in the brake hose and cause a partial brake system loss. This could cause an accident without warning. Prolonged ABS sensor wire contact could damage the wire and cause a loss of the ABS function.

Repair

Both front brake hose assemblies must be replaced. ABS wheel Speed sensor wires must be inspected for damage and the sensors must me replaced if necessary.

Alternate Transportation

If inspection determines that ABS wheel speed sensor replacement is required and the vehicle must be held overnight, dealers should attempt to minimize customer inconvenience by placing the owner in a loaner vehicle.
