Front Bumper: Service and Repair

FRONT BUMPER

REMOVAL

1. Place a support under front bumper.
2. Remove grille.

3. Remove nuts attaching bumper to outer brace (Fig. 1).

4. Remove upper and lower nuts attaching bumper to bumper brackets (Fig. 2).
5. Remove front bumper from bumper brackets.
6. If necessary, remove bumper cover.

INSTALLATION

1. If removed, install bumper cover.
2. Support and position bumper at bumper brackets.
3. Install upper and lower nuts attaching bumper to bumper brackets. Tighten nuts to 94 N.m (70 ft.lbs.) torque.
4. Install nuts attaching bumper to outer brace. Tighten nuts to 94 N.m (70 ft.lbs.) torque.
5. Install grille.
6. Remove support.
