Radiator Cooling Fan Control Module: Service and Repair







All vehicles have fan shrouds to improve fan air flow efficiency. The fan shroud has rubber flaps to prevent the shroud from restricting air flow at high speeds. The shroud also supports the electric fan motor and fan. The fan shroud is serviced only as a assembly with the motor and fan

REMOVAL






(1) Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the motor.
(3) Remove the fan shroud assembly fasteners. Remove the shroud assembly from radiator.

INSTALLATION
(1) Install the fan shroud assembly to radiator. Install the retaining nuts and tighten to 6 Nm (50 inch lbs.).
(2) Connect the fan motor electrical connector.
(3) Install the air cleaner assembly.
