Compressor Clutch: Service Precautions

CAUTION:
- Do not pry between the clutch plate and the clutch pulley to remove the plate. Failure to observe this caution may result in damage to the compressor clutch assembly.
- If the snap ring is not fully seated in the groove it will vibrate out, resulting in a clutch failure and severe damage to the front housing of the compressor.
- Do not mar or contaminate the clutch pulley friction surface.
