Electronic Brake Control Module: Service and Repair

CONTROLLER ANTILOCK BRAKE

REMOVAL
1. Open hood of vehicle.
2. Disconnect battery negative (-) terminal.
3. Remove hood, front bumper and fascia.

4. Disconnect 25-way electrical connector.

5. Disconnect pump/motor wiring harness connector at the CAB.
6. Remove 4 CAB mounting bolts.
7. Remove CAB from HCU.

INSTALLATION
1. Install CAB onto HCU.
2. Install 4 CAB mounting bolts and tighten to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect pump/motor connector.
4. Connect 25-way connector to the CAB.
5. Install front bumper and fascia, and hood.
6. Reconnect battery terminal.
7. Connect the DRB III to the data link connector to initialize the new CAB.
8. Road test the vehicle to ensure proper operation of the ABS.
