Audible Warning Device Control Module: Testing and Inspection

CHIME MODULE
1. Remove chime module (Refer to ELECTRICAL/CHIME/BUZZER/CHIME/BUZZER MODULE - REMOVAL).

Chime Module Terminals:




2. Ground terminals 2 and 5 of chime module (Fig. 2).
3. Using a jumper wire, connect one end to a battery voltage supply and other end to terminal 4 of the module.
4. Chime should sound for four to eight seconds and then should go OFF; if not, replace module.
5. If OK, check wiring for opens, shorts, or poor connections refer to the appropriate wiring information. The wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper wire and connector repair procedures, further details of wire harness routing and retention, as well as pin-out and location views for the various wire harness connectors, splices and grounds.
