Installation






INSTALLATION




1. Position catalytic converter
2. Install LH and RH catalytic converter to manifold bolts. Do not tighten at this time.
3. Install catalytic converter to muffler flange bolts. Do not tighten at this time.
4. Make sure the muffler/catalytic converter assembly is correctly positioned and the properly aligned. The minimum clearance between components is 25mm (1 inch).
5. Tighten catalytic converter to exhaust manifold bolts to 26 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
6. Tighten catalytic converter to muffler to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
7. Install LH and RH oxygen sensors.
8. Connect LH and RH oxygen sensor electrical connectors.
9. Install under body panel.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Connect negative battery cable.
12. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
