MANUAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL (MTC)





1. Position the A/C-heater control (1) to the instrument panel.
2. Connect the wire harness connectors (5) to the back of the A/C-heater control (1) and engage the connector lock (4). Make sure the connector lock is fully engaged.
3. Connect the blend door cable (3) to the rear of the A/C heater control and engage the cable retaining tab (2). If necessary, rotate the cable slightly to align the spline on the cable with the receptacle in the control. Make sure the retaining tab is fully engaged to the control.




NOTE: ATC A/C-heater control shown. MTC control similar.

4. Install the A/C-heater control (2) into the instrument panel (3) while simultaneously connecting the mode control cable to the mode door cam located at the rear of the HVAC housing. If necessary, rotate the cable slightly to align the spline on the cable with the receptacle in the cam.
5. Install the four screws (1) that secure the A/C-heater control to the instrument panel. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
6. Install the instrument panel center bezel Instrument Panel Center Bezel - Installation.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
